Charlie wants to dance all day long. And snap his fingers.
Last night Charlie went to the carousel on the Mall. He was so excited to get on it and wanted to sit on his own horse and kept trying to get it to go. As soon as the carousel started moving (it was sort of fast) and the horse began going up and down he was really afraid. But then he didn’t want to get off and cried a little when we left and waved bye to the horses. This carousel will be leaving the little merry-go-round at the playground in the dust.
Charlie is currently really into books with pictures of balls in them. And he really like to growl whenever he sees a bear in a book.
Today Charlie went on the St Albans Christmas House Tour with some of his grandmother’s friends. He loved the musicians in each house and was really inspired by what people were doing with magnolia leaves and pomegranates.
Oh, and Charlie has got a real thing for light switched. He likes to point them out but he also really really liked to press them. He also thinks the door bell is great and laughs hysterically when I say “ding dong”.
Charlie continues to go around pointing at everything and saying “This?” to find out the name or alert you to something of possible interest. The other day he pointed his finger and yelled out “THIS?” to the choir singing Christmas songs in church.
Words to date:
Yesterday Charlie walked across the room for the first time in his entire life. He went from Colin to MJ and then over to the back door to look at Huck. He was thrilled with the applause we gave him and kept clapping for more.
