Saturday Charlie and I went skiing with Oliver and his family for the last time this season. We had so much fun. It was warm enough to wear only tee shirts and Charlie was determined to ski down the harder trail this time. And he did it without falling–he was so sweetly proud. He and I raced, I had him be the teacher and tell me what to do. I love this activity with him.

In the bathtub last night Charlie and Teddy were running an ice cream shop where they sold bubble ice cream.

Charlie “We are open all the hours of the day and of the night, even in the middle of the night we are open.”

ALB “You are open 24 hours. That’s convenient. What are the ingredients in your ice cream?”

Charlie ” In the morning a little bit of sugar and carrots and broccoli. All of our ice cream have a little bit of sugar. And they are light weight. All are light weight.”

Obviously listening to me looking for sugar free and non fat options…

Winnie the Pooh is a constant topic of conversation here. Especially his love of honey.

Scottie repeats “Pooh. Honey. Honey. Pooh. Mommy. Pooh”

Nell “Bee. Honey. Pooh.”

Teddy “I love Winnie the Pooh. Him loves honey.”

At least once a day from all three.

If I sing Baby Beluga, Nell will swim around in the tub and sing “Baby baba. Mama. Happy.”

Scottie stands at the ipod in the kitchen and dances by slightly moving her body up and down and her head slowly side to side. Today she added the hand movement of put her hands up, jazz hands -style, and just holding them there.

I was sleeping in Scottie’s crib again last night trying to get her to sleep and not wake everyone up. Nell woke up, sits up, and says “Hi Mama. Hi Dada. Hi Gottie. Hi Huck.” And went back to sleep.

Scottie and Nell both count by pointing to items and saying “Two. Two.”

ALB “Charlie, did you like being in the audience at that play?”
Charlie ” No.”
ALB “Why not?”
Charlie “Because I should be in that play. On the stage?”

This happened after I drove him and some friends on a field trip to see a 5t h& 6th grade production of The Little Mermaid. It was such an adorable afternoon.

There is a real bunny obsession in our house. Nelly carries her and Teddy’s everywhere. This morning Charlie and teddy dresses and fed Teddy’s family of 5 bunnies. Teddy is not seen without at least one bunny and one blue ninja Lego in his hands at all time. Scottie and Nell spent hours putting stuffed bunnies to sleep.
I plan to paint lettuce inn with a picture of a bunny on the door of our new house.

Teddy “When I was in your tummy the water from the shower for in there and I played all around in it. ”
Could he possibly have memories of being in utero?
