Today I drove 5 kids to the pool for the first time and had the loveliest swim with Teddy, Charlie and Oliver.

Having a conversation in the pool today about what animals come to our yards…
ALB:” Do squirrels come?”
Oliver, Charlie, Teddy: “yes”
ALB: “Do fish come?”
Oliver: “Of course not.”
Charlie: “If you have a pool.”
Teddy: “Or an aquarium. “

Teddy: “Who is dead?”
ALB: “well, my grandmother just died.”
Teddy: “who else? George Washington?”
ALB: “yes he is dead.”
Teddy: “why? Because he’s from a long time ago?”
ALB: “Yes. People from a long time ago are dead now because they became very old many years ago and when people become very old they die “
Teddy: “Then what?”
ALB:” Then they aren’t here anymore. And they won’t come back. Their bones get buried in the ground and their hearts and minds go to the sky to be with God [I think].”
Teddy:” Why them not coming back?”
ALB: “Because when someone dies they don’t come back so you can miss them.”

Both girls always flap their arms and kick their legs in their high hairs in excitement for food. They had been saying “mmmm” for about 3 months when they wanted more and now Scottie says “more.” Nelly says “Scottie.” The adorablness of them
Feeding each other and eating off each others trays and plates is beyond. And recently wen Scottie was sad because she didn’t have anymore of something Nelly gave Scottie some of her own.

When you comb Scottie’s hair she just stands very still obviously enjoying it and when you stop she looks at you and says “aa aa” to get you to continue. Salon bills are going to be sky high.
