Today Charlie, Teddy, Gaby and I had a picnic outside the National Cathedral. It was so so beautiful and the boys loved it. Then they got to have a picnic dinner with Jacob and Oliver in the park. They were thrilled.

Scottie and Nell always babble to each other but toady for the first time I could tell they were actually having a conversation with each other in their own baby language. There was a rhythm to it and a back and forth that was so clearly them talking to each other. So cool.

Teddy loves to say “I a tiny baby. Hold me. Feed me milk.” He has come around though now and actually seems to like the actual babies.

Despite the big brother-ishness, I like watching the babies on the video monitor as they talk to one another in their cribs. I also like the way they laugh at each other when they see one another in their mouse hats.

Scottie LOVES looking at books and scratching the pages. She sits up and says “dada” and “mamma”.

ALB: “What is the difference you feel in your mouth when you eat strawberries and when you eat bananas?”

Charle: “Strawberries are juicy and bananas are soft as a blanket.”

I took Charlie to Saks the other day and said I was going to buy a purse. He said “You already have a purse.” Good point.

Then he saw a bejeweled Prada clutch, picked it up and said “This is beautiful.” Charlie, I like your taste.
As I spoke with the salespeople telling them why I liked or didn;t like a bag, Charlie started mimicking me and was picking up Valentino and Celine bags saying “This is hard and too small,” “This on is brown and not big enough.”

Then we went to the LV store. He had to go to the bathroom and when we walked in to their feel appointed accommodations he said “It smells great in here. Nice design.” Charlie’s aesthetic sense warm my heart.

Teddy has been asking me to turn on the hairdryer and blow the hair on his head, not that it’s wet, just because he likes it. He says “This silly” He needs his haircut because he looks like Brad Pitt in Moneyball.
