At the emergency room the other night for Charlie’s hop, I kept him busy by making up a story about Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Superdog Huck, Santa, Rudolf, Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny, and Winnie the Pooh and his friends going out to find the Baxon who was up to no good and working with the Giant from Jack and the Bean Stalk and Farmer McGregor. It was terrifying and complex.

Teddy and Charlie are in the midst of a real Winnie The Pooh interest. Charlie has slept with a Winnie the Pooh on and off for a long time but hadn’t really associated him with the stories. Teddy is a huge fan. They got the movie from Siri for Christmas and watched to and from New York. They ask me to tell them Winnie the Pooh stories and Teddy asks me every day to sing the song. He bobs his little hand and moves his shoulders–it is so cute I can’t stand it. Winnie the Pooh makes me think of Teddy. Sooo lovable.

I went to the park today with all four by myself which I rarely do. I always hope someone I know is up there. Thankfully they were as Teddy continues to take off. The only way I could keep everyone happy and enclosed in the playground was to play tag where I (carrying Nell in a Bjorn and Scottie in my arms) chased C&T and their friends around and around. They loved it. It was really fun.

Hannuka and Christmas were really fun with caroling on Dent place and hot cocoa at our house, a Fifth Night party we organized with Oliver and his family at Sprinkles Cupcakes for kids to bring gifts to give to kids in need, dinner at Mitzi and Grandpas where we lit the menorah, taking latkes to Charlie’s class and teaching them about Hannuka, taking Charlie to the Nutcracker, listening to Mi Casa sing holiday songs, seeing lights at night, dinner at Runnymede, ice skating and gingerbread decorating at Ice (Teddy loved the Disney characters and Charlie learned to ice skate on his own), visits to Santa, opening gifts with Siri, and going to NY to hang out with Greg, Carolyn, Hannah and Milly which was the best part (pictures from a Norwegian candy store we found, seeing dolls and Legos at FAO Scwartz, eating at lots of restaurants, and a trip to this great Childrens art museum in the West Village where they had a clay bar and the twins got to meet the super nice Sarah Jesssica Parker who was there with her girl twins and gave us some twin advice).
