Kitsy Cat Gran gave T&C Star Wars coloring books that they have been reading all day. Halloween costumes–Charlie and Teddy R2D2 and C3PO, Scottie and Nell as Ewoks, Huck Princess Leia?

Teddy turned two on Friday. I can’t believe he is all grown up. It seems like it was only two minutes ago that I was in the hospital delivering. Even then he was so laid back and cuddly and I loved him the second I heard him cry.

He is so sweet and cute and cuddly and smart and lovable and friendly and funny and charming and agreeable and easy going and fun. I could not love him more. I just want to hug and kiss him all day. Even when he is not right in front of me, I think about him and want to hug him and hold his chubby little paws and play with him.

He is really into firemen and knights. For his birthday he got fire trucks, fire men, and fireman costume, a fire station, a knight on a horse, a book about knights…so many gifts. And he got a Georgetown basketball uniform from Meaghan and a cars puzzle from Siri. Everyone loves Teddy and is so nice to him.

When he came down in the morning there were balloons and presents waiting for him and a sign MJ made saying “Happy Birthday” with sports guys drawn on it. Teddy and Charlie loves the sign. For lunch I took them to McDonalds and then we had a pizza party with a cake I decorated with fire trucks.

And Charlie was so generous and patient and understanding about Teddy getting so many presents. Charlie got a few too, but he really was exceptionally good about it being Teddy’s birthday and was able to say “When it’s my birthday can I get the same fireman costume?”

I made him a cake with fire trucks on it.

Today les bebes had a 4 week check up. Scottie is 7 lbs 12 oz and 18 3/4 inches and Nell is 7 lbs 11 oz and 19 inches. Good job growing, babies.

The babies were crying so Teddy came running over picked up a pacifier and said “Here, pacifier!”

I took Charlie to the toy store down the street today to pick out a present for him to give Teddy. He was very thoughtful and said “Let’s get him a fireman coat,” which is exactly what Teddy would want but I had to explain Johanna already got him one. At the store Charlie found a soccer sticker book and when I asked if he thought Teddy would want that he said “Um, yeah, sure.” (his standard affirmative answer). Then he found a playmobile firefighter figure and said we should get that. Upon further thought he said “Well, Teddy cane have the hose and axe that comes with it and I can have the firefighter.” So hard to give.

Doctor: “How old are you?”

I took Charlie and his friend on an errand with me today into a little boutique-y store that sells china and house wears. Remind me not to do that again.

Charlie gives the babies kisses all the time. He is really very gentle.

Every word I say that is not in Teddy’s vocabulary, he repeats to teach himself. So smart.

Whenever I correct or get mad at Charlie, Teddy says “Sorry.” Teddy is so sweet.
