Teddy keeps coming over to me and pointing to my stomach and saying “Babies. Open.”
Teddy keeps coming over to me and pointing to my stomach and saying “Babies. Open.”
Charlie heard me telling MJ that his grandparents were in Canada for the weekend. MJ asked what they were doing and I said they were at a theater festival and Charlie piped in “And probably seeing a hockey game.” How did he know there was hockey in Canada????
When a neighbor asked Charlie the other day if he was ready for twins, he replied that yes he was ready for the twins and the new parents that will come with them. I don’t know how we got this off course in understanding the concept of babies being born. I guess he just assumes two kids for every two parents so naturally the twins will come with two more parents. If only that were true.
Teddy is obsessed with wearing Coach John shirts. Charlie and Teddy have been waking up really early in the morning and I can hear them talking about these shirts in the room. For a few days we have been going in there to find Teddy’s crib filled with about 15 tee shirts.
Teddy is a talking constantly now and repeats everything you say. He brings books up to be all day and says “Read it.” And he says “I love you.” But my favorite thing to hear him say is his brothers name.
Charlie is such a good host. Yesterday he had his friend Chloe come to play and he kept asking her “Do you want a juice? A snack?” and would offer her toys to play with. When she left he gave her a crayon as a parting gift.
Today Charlie wanted me to play dragon camping out front with him–the equipment included one of my crutches, a red shovel, a bike light, and a sheet of bubble wrap. He says dragons eat the pops from the bubble wrap and that is what makes them breathe fire. He also says that my crutch is a dragon gun. And he mentioned that the dragon waits for us outside when we are inside eating lunch.
