The other day I was saying to Charlie “You are so cute and adorable and I love you!” And he said back to me “You so adorable.” And then I would tell him again how adorable he is. And then he said “teddy so cute I smash him.” Hmm…

Today we went to Battery Kemble and played with another Charlie–Charlie Smiles and his sisters. We forgot Charlie Berman’s shoes at home so I let him wear just socks in the fields, but a woman came over and told me not to. I let him anyway. He had fun.

Tonight Charlie’s fortune was “You find beauty in ordinary things. Do not lose this ability.” and Teddy’s was “Keep your feet on the ground even though friends flatter you.” They could not be more perfect.

Every time I read Teddy a book he points to things on the page and babbles like he is telling me what they are. If I pick up a book he doesn’t want to read he swats it. Then points to what he wants to read. Usually Good Night Moon, This Little Chick, Curious George Books, and The Mitten.

Friday Charlie and Teddy came with me to the Russian Embassy to set up for the Georgetown Gala that night. On the way in, Charlie said “Russian Embassy! Get candy there!” Sadly, there was no candy but I think he still liked it.

The other day Charlie asked Meaghan, our beloved babysitter, “You know any college girls?”

She does. She also has an iPod which she lets Charlie use.

Teddy really does not like it when Charlie is in my lap or arms. He cries, tries to get me to hold him, and tries to move Charlie out.

Teddy has begun wearing little baby “shoes” and loves it. He points for the shoes and then sticks his feet out to get me to put them on him.

This morning MJ accidently knocked our fruit bowl off the counter and it broke. Charlie almost started crying–I had no idea he was so attached to the fruit bowl.
