Both boys need a haircut. Maybe by the coincidently named Teddy Charles, “hair shape expert.” Hmm…they are very good about having their hair cut, especially Charlie.

They are also very good at helping me shop and try on shoes at Hu’s.

It is really sweet how T&C have their own relationship with one another and really get each other laughing. I love it. And it is fun to spend one one time too of course. I love them. Really, there is nothing better in the world. Even when I’m frustrated with them or tired, I am astonished by the endless amount of love for them.

Today they had a really good time climbing on furniture at at the Mitchell Gold store in the morning and then collecting acorns with Mitzi in the afternoon. Then they were both thrilled to get a mini ice cream sandwich for dessert. Charlie negotiated a 2nd half of one by eating a fish stick.

The other day Charlie said for the first time “I’m so mad.” when he was frustrated with something. Teddy was apparently also mad because he tried to hit Charlie. Uh oh.

Charlie likes me to sing him “Rock me mama like a wagon wheel…” has I rock him in his chair at night.

Charlie still uses “My” in place of “I”. So cute.

Teddy has been crying so much and so clingy the past few days and I kept thinking teeth but then thought just tired and then today two teeth popped thru. Poor little guy. I wish I had been more on top of it to help with the pain.

Charlie still doesn’t say much about school except “Mommy drop me off.” And he makes a joke to my question, “Who did you play with?” replying “Not any friends.” and smiles slyly knowing he’s funny.

He has been talking alot about Mr. Don, the music teacher, and then I discovered that Mr. Don sings a song very similar to the moon song. I bet that’s why Charlie likes him so much

Charlie loves looking at the moon and keeps asking me to sing a song Mitzi taught us:

Mister Moon, Moon, silvery Mister Moon
Please shine down on me
Mister Moon, Moon, Bright and Shiney Moon
Hiding behind that tree
Charlie Berman’s telling you
To his mommy he’ll be true
Oh Mister Moon, Moon silvery Mister Moon
Please shine down on me

It is amazing how well behaved the boys are when they are with me one-on-one…

Also amazing how well behaved they are when we go out. They rise to the occasion. They also like getting little gifts (like when we just went over to Kitsy Kat Gran’s and Johns to hang out with Cols and Jenny and Jenny gave them cute little bunnies).
