Blue Igloo is the most important place to Teddy and Charlie besides our house. They love their teachers, Sabria, Louis and Ezree and the adore their friends. Charlie asks to go to “Bigoowoo” everyday. And when I got him new shoes the other day, he said “Mommy buy same sneakers Louis too.” They love the parties, the freedom to run or crawl around, Teddy loves climbing into the basket that holds the balls (I think it’s his favorite toy), hugging friend, bubbles, singing songs (Charlie now knows alot of the words and sings on his own), snack time, dressing up…

Most mornings Charlie asks “Charlie have eatmeal for breakfast?” So we give him oatmeal. Or we let him help bake a cake.

Charlie has really begun trying to join in our conversations. For instance, tonight, MJ and I were looking at a picture of a house on a realtor’s postcard and we were talking about how many levels it had, when Charlie added, “Mommy has a basement upstairs.” Or take the other day, when MJ was telling me that they had just poured concrete for the foundation of one of his new building projects, and Charlie jumped it saying, “Concrete–cats eat it.” Despite being totally inaccurate, he adds quite a bit.

Charlie is very particular about what he wears. Today he said “Charlie wear shorts with Nike logo.” Seriously?

Today Charlie went to the farmer’s market and picked out mushrooms to bring home. He also helped me bake a cake for Kitty Cat Gran’s birthday and right now he is getting very excited about having a button sewn back onto his shortalls.

Not only has Teddy really ramped up the waving (a papal-style hand out forward sort of thing), he has also tried to pull little pieces of bread apart to feed himself after watching me rip pieces of bread apart to feed him like a little baby bird. I wish he liked drinking out of a bottle, but I really don’t mind him holding my hand or my necklace or patting my arm while he nurses. So sweet I swoon.

At a bbq tonight Charlie asked for a “burgerham.” He one bite then had a cookies and crem ice cream cone. Then on the way home said “Member cone (as though it had happened days before)? Cream and cookie too. Go back those guys house.”
