Backseat monologues from C:

“Charlie friend’s wife name Mitzi.”
“Lady take blue car. Blue car come back. Charlie need blue car. Drive it.” (We had to get rid of the Saab 3 month ago because car seats don’t fit well in a convertible and even though he never rode in it, Charlie seems to really miss it.)

Charlie asks everyday to go to “BooIgawooo.” Teddy is more than happy to go along.

We were walking past Christ Church Georgetown today. Charlie saw the crest on a sign by the door and said “Knight live there.”

Teddy is pretty much crawling. And just discovered the toy box.

Oh, and he also like to sing “Sally the camel has two humps,” while trying to ride Huck. “Charlie ride Huck. Sally. Two humps.”

Charlie knows all sorts of lyrics. He likes to sing Down By the Bay, ABC, Happy Birthday, and The Wheels On the Bus. This morning he saw Biz Markie on TV and ran to get his hat, put it on sideways and then tried to hum a beat. Not bad. A little drool. But not bad.

Yesterday we went to an AU basketball game and hung out with Erika and Molly, thanks to her dad Keiran who is one of the coaches. The minute Charlie got there he yelled with extreme excitement “GO DUNKING MAN!!” He watched the entire thing, gave a high five to the mascot, and said to me “Mommy wear track suit.” But the exciting thing was that the game was broadcast on CBS College Sports and they zoomed in on Teddy smiling a couple times. Congrats T, on your television debut.

I love the way Charlie says “Cafe [caff-ayy]”. I especially liked tonight when he said “Charlie in a cafe, in a new cafe” even though he wasn’t in any cafe. He was in a bar, though for kids happy hour and he said “Charlie like bars.” Great.

Huck and I have been working on a trick. I put out two closed fists, one with a treat inside. Huck has to use her paw to tap the hand with the treat. Now she has just gone straight to sitting next to me at dinner and tapping my hand at the table while I eat.
