Today a friend, Sarah, was visiting and Teddy spit up so we wiped it up. Charlie came running in and said “Spit out” and drooled on himself so that we would wipe him off too. I wish there was something less gross that he could copy.

Charlie’s favorite foods right now: pizza, cookies, clementines, oatmeal, guacamole, rice. Though he talks about wine and coffee a lot, he never gets them (but he did get to drink hot chocolate out of a tea cup when Colin came over).

Teddy’s favorite foods right now: breast milk, infant oatmeal, baby guacamole (milk and avocado mixed together), and pureed carrots and sweet potatoes. He doesn’t really mention any others since.
Charlie always puts his napkin on his lap and is really into spoons.
Teddy likes to hold one spoon while I feed him with another, but sometimes he sticks it too far into his mouth and gags

As of yesterday, Teddy can sit up for about 10 seconds on his own.

When Charlie says “Two feet laage” that means he wants you to rub both feet at once.

During circle time at Blue Igloo today, Charlie raced over to get Teddy who was sitting in my lap to hold hands for the song where all the kids hold hands. So so sweet.

Yesterday I also took Teddy and Charlie to visit beautiful new Alice Birkenhead. The minute C saw her he yelled “Teddy!” and when we said, “No, that’s Alice.” He said ” Teddy brother,” and “Teddy matches.”

Yesterday I took Charlie to see a band play at the zoo. He tried to get on stage.

He also brought a stuffed monkey, which he likes to do, when going to see the yellow tamarins in the small mammal house. He calls them “yellow monkey” and gets very excited.

The other morning Charlie said to me “Pretty shirt.” I had no idea he even knew the word pretty, much less knew how to pay a compliment. Thanks, Charlie.

T loves, I mean loves to kick his legs in his bath. He also loves to watch everything his brother does. And he loves when his father talks like a parrot, mimicking the parrot-like sound T has started making. So many things to love.
