Teddy is the happiest, most easy going baby ever. He just smiles and smiles. I cannot look at his beautiful face enough. Teddy, I wish I was as a good a mother to you as you are a baby to me.

Charlie went to Emerson and Ruby’s piano recital Sunday and really loved seeing them play. In the middle of a couple of the other students’ pieces he yelled out “my turn.” Luckily he refrained from yelling out his other favorite phrase, “No like it.”

Charlie is endearingly excited about the moon. He has been referring to anything other than a full moon as a “broken moon.” The other night I told him about crescent moons and the next day he started singing ” crescent moon crescent moon.” I LOVED that song.

Dear Charlie,

You turned two and are such a big kid, but you are still my little baby and I love you more than you can know. I think always about the second you were born–I was so amazed by you and still am every single day. And every single day I love you even more than the day before which is so wonderful because each day I can’t imagine being able to love you more than I do that day. You have grown up so much–learned to talk in sentences, care about others, ride a horse and a bike, draw, sing the alphabet song the whole way through, count, go up and down stairs, swim, be an incredible big brother, outwit me….and the list goes on and on. You are so good at everything you do. And thank you so much for putting up with my learning as I go with how to be a good mother to you–you are extraordinarily gracious to me and so unbelievably forgiving of all my mistakes.
xoxo
Mommy

C sings all the time and jumps around to his own beat. Likes the ABC song but also makes up lots of little songs. Today’s refrain was “Big helmet, big helmet.”

In addition to the two bunnies (he has had since he was about 6 months), the horse (he has had since he was 18 months), and the little dog (since 20 months), Charlie now also sleeps with a couple books, a blanket, and the football that Coach John gave him. Oh, and a couple nights this week he has added a paint brush.

Charlie got the football at his football and cupcakes birthday party in the park. I made 100 cupcakes (that looked like they were iced with toothpaste) and ordered 100 mini footballs (that looked like they were given out at a bank, except that the had Charlie’s picture on theme). Tag line: I scored at Charlie’s birthday party.

C says, “Charlie football man,” “Baby Pumpkin”. He likes to wear his football uniform on Halloween and after. He had fun at his Blue Igloo party (though he was afraid of Luis’ face paint), loved decorating the house with “gobwebs”, was a little afraid of “scary whitch” and “scary ghost”, was so excited to hand out candy and say “trick or treat”, and was up for a little trick or treating himself.

For the past three days we have had Raul over to paint. Charlie has been glued to Raul’s side, standing there with a paint brush of his own. This afternoon when Raul was kneeling down painting a low corner, Charlie went over and rested his head on his shoulder. So cute. Though I’m sure Raul thought he was the most intrusive client ever.

Teddy is big enough to face out in the Bjorn.

Charlie is big enough to do and say just abut everything.
