I loved planning the joint party with Oliver and Charlie…a hike in the woods with whistles and compasses, pizza and soccer at Oliver’s and s’mores here. The boys were all so sweet and well behaved and had fun. A great group of almost 20 out in the forest. And Charlie and Oliver were excellent hosts (which is no easy task for first graders).

A science experiment made my Oliver, Charlie and Teddy. When I told them I was worried about it spilling Charlie said “It’s beautiful, mommy, should use it for decoration.” And he was totally right.

Some Bazaar in the morning. I love how the girls love magazines and we can look at them together. I’m so glad all the children have a sense of style

A sweet cozy night in an airport hotel, the Alps, flying out of Zurich to Newark and driving home, reading vogue on the plane, a total meltdown on the airport floor, a warm welcome, excitement to be home and excitement to go again.

And Spain…A train from Paris to Figueres, Hotel Bella Vista in Roses, Cadaques, Port Lligat, Girona, Barcona… The boys played soccer in parks with other kids, on the street, everyone swam, Teddy built a conceptual dinner place setting out of rocks on the beach, went to the Dali Museum, walked through the Calle in Girona, are tapas (The girls loved squid, ham and shrimp), ate carrot ice cream from Can Roca’s Rocambolesc Gelateria, ate Catalan “spaceship” bread, felt the water of the Mediterranean, gazed at the mountains and water, went to Camp Nou, held the champions league trophy, wore flamenco dresses and Barcelona jerseys, discussed Messi and Ronaldo, loved being together, loved exploring together, total heaven.
