I try to foster independence in each child so *try* to get them to hang up clothes, make their beds, put away toys, unzip coats. There is a lot of trying going on.

I’ve been having so much fun volunteering at Charlie’s school. In the past two weeks I’ve gotten to help the science teacher, Ms Hill, plant carrots and peas with the kindergarteners, help the art teachers paint costumes for the Kindergarten musical, teach the Roots of Empathy classes and help MJ with soccer. It’s so much fun.
I also got to hang out with Teddy’s class a bunch, help the kids make windsocks, and am helping out with the teacher appreciation luncheon. It’s so cool to get to hang out at the schools, be near my children, help other children, hang out with the teachers…

Teddy “I have allergies. When feathers fall into my nose I sneeze and then I fall down on the sidewalk and then I have to get band aids and go to the doctor and I don’t like that.”

ALB “Have you ever has feathers fall into your nose?”

Teddy “I don’t know. Have I?”

Teddy “I want that little black dog. He will come and hop into my bed and I will snuggle him down and he will be happy.”

Teddy “I know lots of letters. Lots. Can I tell you all the letters that I know?”
