The girls are soooo excited about their birthday. We celebrated Sunday night at Kitzy Cat and Grandpa Johns. It was just Jenny and Grandpa John because Kitzy Cat was on her way back from a week at Canyon Ranch but arrived at the end in time to tell the girls about aqua Zumba and auras before we light the candles again and sang Happy Birthday for the 6th time because they couldn’t get enough of blowing out their candles.
They keep saying “Happy birthday. My birthday. My happy happy. My pink happy birthday.”

Charlie had a friend over the other day while I was having a Blue Igloo meeting. They were all going crazy: throwing clothes at the ceiling fan, playing baseball inside, using horns, and messy of all making a concoction of ingredients in the kitchen. So gross and a colossal mess but they actually drank it.
That night at dinner Charlie tried to share his recipe with his grandfather:
Charlie “Grandpa John, want to hear my secret recipe? It is orange juice, ice, ice cream and…”
G John “Soap?”
Charlie “No, you can’t eat soap, can you?”
G John “No but it would be funny. But it in your father’s drink.”
Charlie “it’s not soap it is popcorn. And you mix it all up.”
G John “Well I would add soap.”

We had the most fun week with Milly when she was here staying with us. Se is so amazing. So sweet and cute and mature and all around a joy to be with. The children love her. The girls kept walking around saying “Minnie! Minnie!”
And Teddy like to call her on my phone. I took her horseback riding with me one day. She was so confident and happy on the horse even though it was her first time. I could tell she loved the animals which made me so happy. We went to Union Market and got Korean tacos and empanadas and she picked out cute things in a little store there. I also took her and Teddy to the Phillips Collection where Milly led us on an art scavenger hunt and when we walked by some wire sculptures I said “Teddy, who is the artist who made these?” and Teddy replied “Alexander Calder.” Be still my heart.
We went to dinner, to Dolcezza and swimming. I wish Milly could move in with us. I think Charlie would like an older sibling. Like me, though, he will have to rely on older cousins for cool and fun.

I cannot get enough of the children’s voices. Even the whining is ok. Sometimes.

Some experts (Kitzy Cat) say that drawing a face well with details like eyebrows is a sign of intelligence in children. Phew. Teddy and Charlie are future Mensa members with their little people. Teddy’s are amazing.

Just left Benihana where we had dinner with Charlie’s friend Truman. It was fun and we will be going back. Again and again.
