In other messy news, Charlie, Oliver and Teddy had the genius idea of using dreidels to spin paint onto paper. It was a cool idea and I like to let them make messes for the sake of a good project or fun exploring materials. So it was huge mess with paint all over the walls, floors, rugs of the basement. Not a big deal. They cleaned it up with to a of water, making more mess. Again no big as they were having fun and “helping”.
Finally the project was cleaned and up they moved on to he next activity of cutting paper. While I made dinner Charlie was cutting and I thought Teddy was doing the same. But actually Teddy had gone back to the paints, taken off all his clothes, covered himself in rose-colored paint, covered the entire basement in rosé-colored paint, and then came upstairs to announce that he needed a “warm bath”. I’ll say. Put dinner on hold, washed Teddy and tried to explain that he shouldn’t do that while trying not to laugh.

Often during naps the girls just laugh and play and jump around in their cribs with Scottie jumping back and forth into and out of both cribs. Today this led to a huge mess when Scottie tried to change her own diaper. Thanks Scottie.
