Today Charlie wanted me to repeatedly walk him around holding both his hands. Everytime he would say “uh-oh” again and again.
Today Charlie wanted me to repeatedly walk him around holding both his hands. Everytime he would say “uh-oh” again and again.

Charlies has been a great traveler so far. He was so good on the plane and was so chipper since we have been here. He waves to everyone we meet and yesterday even had a granny on the bus hold his hand. Today he loved the Irish Museum of Modern Art and was the perfect guest his aunty Gelf’s wedding (though he did burp during the exchange of vows). The wedding was so lovely and Gelf was the most laid back bride ever (she even had us over for a dinner party last night that she cooked for).
Today we leave for Dublin. Charlie doesn’t know it yet but he is going to be a great traveler.
Today is a big day. This morning Charlie said “uh oh” for the first time and tried to say “woof” but it was more of a blowing sound.
Tonight as I rocked Charlie and he played with my hands and face I thought how truly sweet it is that he has no inhibitions and can be totally comfortable grabbing my nose, ears, neck in exploration and mind-wandering relaxation. And how truly sweet it is that I love this (as do all parents I’m sure). I mean, when else do you let someone totally claw at your face no questions asked.

Today Charlie was surrounded by lovely ladies Ava, Ruby, and Isabella who came over for a cooking class with Anna from Tiny Chefs. Anna is the nicest chef ever and the girls made the best calzones ever plus chocolate dirt cups with gummy worms. Charlie was overjoyed at all the commotion, fun, and people to talk to. And I think it inspired him to eat a bite of sweet potato tonight. I also think it inspired Huck to start cooking for herself.

Charlie, are these really your parents? The Caption says so…
C is way into playing “so big” and clicking his tongue (especially if you say “Charlie, click”). He also really LOVES waving at everyone and when he eats he must be allowed to hold two spoons at all times.
Some of Charlie’s nickname…Pinnochio, P.N. Okio, Pinochilio, Pinot, Pinokes, the Blueberry Prince, C, tiny little guy, Mini J, Chuck D, …
Charlie just celebrated his first Rosh Hashana (Last night by going to dinner. Today by napping). He also celebrated his first trip to a spa, where today we attempted a baby massage with him (I did infant massage with him when he was really little but haven’t recently). He was really interested in the products being sold at the spa but not so interested in sitting still for any sort of treatment.
